Honoring 33 Years of a Globally Respected Brazilian Cultural Center, and Mestra Márcia Cigarra's 60th Birthday

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ABADÁ-Capoeira San Francisco (ACSF) invites the public to a celebration of capoeira, culture, and community with its 2025 Batizado Graduation Ceremony and Performance, marking two milestones: 33 years of ACSF, and the 60th birthday of Mestra Márcia Cigarra, a trailblazing capoeira master, cultural leader, and founder of the Brazilian cultural center.

Come enjoy live music, dance performances, a capoeira roda, and community storytelling and joy. This event will uplift the collective spirit and celebrate ACSF's legacy of empowerment, education, and expression.

For continuing students, the batizado is a joyful moment of reflection and recognition, as they are awarded a new cord to represent their evolving skills, knowledge, and contributions. It is a moment to honor persistence, discipline, and personal growth through capoeira's blend of martial arts, dance, music, and cultural tradition..
